Atlas
ATLAS is the inaugural piece to the Fracture Project - an art collective formed to explore and challenge conventional representations of time. Its form is originally inspired by ancient Atlas sundials and is built with spherical rings which operate much like the hands of a clock. The magic of this piece comes from the movement of these ‘hands’ allowing it to break from the common flat face of a clock into a complex, moving sphere and aligning again at certain times of the day.
My role in this project is ongoing - and primarily involves designing, prototyping and planning manufacture of the timepieces themselves - as well as a heavy involvement in brand creation and graphic design.
Project completed with: Glenn Catchpole, Roxanne Bruce, Holly Anne-Craig, Laura Deroles, Sammi Harnett, Sam Wells.

The Fracture Project
The Fracture Project is an art collective formed to explore conventional representations of time.
By both celebrating clock making methods and stretching the definition of what a clock is the intention is to deliver a new interpretation of time and bring a new solace and enjoyment to the experience of a timepiece.
The collective aims to produce 12 unique pieces in total.
